The Band of Heathens have dropped a new record.

It’s been 2 years since their last studio effort, and much has changed. In 2011, three members quit. Now, with a changed lineup, The BOH have given us Sunday Morning Record.
No Depression has said Sunday Morning Record is “creative, its dynamic, and the band shines in all of the right places.” They call Caroline Williams “a fun and upbeat kind of jam.” Later, they compare Miss My Life and One More Trip to songs by The Band. Ken Paulson writing forSun209.com calls the album “an eye-opener, packed with diverse sounds and reflective lyrics He calls the opening track, Shotgun, “compelling, intimate and ambitious.” Andrew Leahey ofamericansongwriter.com calls it “a rootsy soundtrack for those slow-moving hours that round out the weekend.”
Overall, the album is a great romp. Though The BoH have gone through many changes, they are still making great music. From the beginning of the album with Shotgun, to the last track Texas, they show they are still relevant and still kicking. They make bold choices, showing that the talent that has made them a loyal fan following are still as strong as ever. Below you can preview the album on Spotify, but I highly recommend you pick this up on vinyl.
